Mithali Raj on an exclusive interview defends BCCI:

Mithali Raj spoke her mind when she was asked to share her thoughts on the comments raised by foreign cricketers. She said, “People tend to judge quickly”. Sourav Ganguly the president of BCCI, secretary (Jay Shah), and Brijesh Patel chief of IPL GC have been very encouraged towards women’s cricket.
Mithali also added that she thought “they won’t even get to play the tournament trophy because IPL 2020 was also in doubt previously, but these games are most welcome”.
When BCCI was facing lots of comments from international stars like Healy, Rachel Haynes, and Suzie Bates about the clash of the event, our legend tried to put things into perspective.
Mithali revert on the questions raise by overseas players that in this circumstance it’s not easy, generally, IPL happened in April-May and never collide with WBBL. This time due to the global pandemic it has been delayed and that to WBBL has not canceled, there was a time when it was a big question for all.
The frustration of Foreign Player’s is understandable said Mithali Raj:
This announcement last weekend with the months of uncertainty for all the Indian players whose preparations for World Cup 2021 have been affected in the worst scenario by this COVID-19 pandemic.
The team has not played for a long time now, the last match they have played in the T20 World Cup final in March. WBBL scheduled from October 17 to November 29 while the T20 tournament is scheduled from November 1-10 in Dubai.
Frustration is understandable since everyone wants to be part of the game. But the situation is not normal. Hardly any sports event is being conducted in this pandemic.
The team needs to regain full fitness for World Cup 2021:

There will be a camp in the next two months, which can help the team to rejoin, make strategies, and plan accordingly for the upcoming series. They need to practice well before they step into the fields since it been a long time, they all are off field.
In 2017 India reached in the finals, the expectation is high this time and everyone wants team India to lift their maiden ICC trophy in 2021. Mithali said this pandemic has a negative impact on their plans, the goal remains the same to win the tournament. She also added that team fitness and strategy will be the key to their success in upcoming tournament.
