Bill Goldberg is a veteran wrestler who will have a chance to win the WWE Championship for the first time. It has a long track record of titles, but the company’s classic title has resisted it over the years. At Royal Rumble, he will face champion Drew McIntyre.
Indeed, Drew McIntyre was interviewed this week by Sportskeeda on the occasion of the celebration of Superstar Spectacle. The champion, who already has a COVID-19 discharge, recalled that Goldberg is an expert in returning and taking the titles of other fighters. He already did it with Kevin Owens, after beating Brock Lesnar, and also with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt last year. However, McIntyre is sure the same will not happen this time.
“He’s got streaks like that where he comes back to the company and wins the title, so I’m looking to end that new streak he’s on now,” McIntyre told Sportskeeda’s, Riju Dasgupta. “He can fight me at the Rumble but, with all the respect in the world for him, and it pains me to say, ‘ Goldberg I’m going to have to kick your head because you’re not going to win my title. I’m going to end that streak .”
“No matter what anyone might think or say about Goldberg, look at what happened every time he came back to the company,” McIntyre added when asked about the fitness of his 54-year-old rival. ” He’s kept fit, he’s an animal, he’s explosive, he raced through Brock Lesnar, he won the Universal Championship, he raced through The Fiend and he won the Universal Championship.”
Next Monday, on Monday Night Raw, Goldberg and Drew McIntyre will have one last confrontation before their fight at Royal Rumble.
