Narendra Modi India’s Prime Minister has expressed grief over the death of football magician Diego Maradona. The Argentinian star said goodbye to the world on Wednesday night at the age of 60 from a heart attack. Expressing condolences, PM Modi said,
‘In his best career, he gave us some great sports moments on the football field. His untimely demise has made all of us sad.’

Vice President also expressed grief
M. Venkaiah Naidu also mourned the demise of Maradona and said that he was a player who mesmerized millions with his magic game. Vice President Secretariat quoted Naidu as saying,
‘His sudden demise is a huge loss to the football world. My condolences to his family and fans in this hour of grief. May his soul rest in peace. ‘

Huge statue in goa
The Goa government is going to erect a huge statue of this great footballer in the coastal area of Eastern District early next year. Michael Lobo, a senior minister in the state government and MLA from Calicut, said,
“Maradona’s statue is already being built.” An artist from Maharashtra is working on it. ”Lobo had announced the installation of a statue of Maradona in the state in 2018 itself.
