• Le Champion would have suffered a real elbow injury during their Blood & Guts match.

On the May 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, the company’s first Blood & Guts match was held where The Pinnacle took on The Inner Circle. The fight had a controversial end with Chris Jericho falling from the top of the cell thrown by MJF and according to statements by Le Champion himself, the fall hurt him and they took him on a stretcher.

While some fans hoped Jericho wouldn’t appear on television to sell the injury for a week or two, he ended up appearing on AEW Dynamite alongside The Inner Circle with his left elbow bandaged and a brace to disrupt The Pinnacle’s celebration. According to a report by Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio , Jerichó is legitimately injured from falling out of the cage and is possibly suffering from a broken elbow.

So far it is not known the severity of the injury or how many weeks he will be out of the ring. The rivalry between The Pinnacle and The Inner Circle will continue at Double Or Nothing on May 30. MJF launched a challenge that if The Inner Circle loses, it must be disbanded forever and although the team led by Jericho has not yet accepted the stipulation, it is expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
