A British sniper has killed five Islamic State terrorists in Syria with one bullet fired from nearly a kilometer away, the Mirror reports. The sergeant, belonging to the SAS (Special Air Service) killed a jihadist terrorist carrying a bomb, and therefore the resulting explosion also downed four other Islamists. According to British sources, one among the dead may be a senior ISIS military official.
The operation was administered with the support of Kurdish rebels, who worked to locate the situation of terrorists. The sniper used a .50 caliber Barrett rifle, the foremost powerful weapon his unit has. The weapon is primarily wont to hit larger targets like lightly armored airplanes, cars, trucks, and tanks.
