Howbeit Lady Whistledown has forgotten to inform us that Bridgerton Season 2 filming is finally underway. Bridgerton Season 2, the creator shared a sneak peek to titillate the fans. The last season brought us back to Regency times. It was the story of Daphne, Bridgerton’s oldest daughter. Her search for a husband with both passion and high status led to this season. But the second season would focus exclusively on Bridgerton’s other sibling. Let’s see where things go now.

Bridgerton Season 2: Pilot Title Revealed?

Chris Van Dusen made a joke of his fans late last night by sharing the first episode script for Season 2. It confirmed that “Capital R Rake” will be the title for the pilot episode. Van Dusen wrote and directed the episode. Tricia, who just joined the second season, is also directing it. Rake had used the phrase “lovable Scoundrel” many times during the first season. This is a Regency-era term.

It could refer to someone who has multiple relationships but may be interested or interested in marriage. This suggests that the season’s next episode will be about Anthony Bailey, Bridgerton’s sibling. He was seen jumping from one relationship after another in the final run. Although marriage appears to be his only way to create an heir,

Bridgerton Season 2: Production Still Going On?

Netflix initially announced that filming the second run would start in March 2021. However, Covid’s subsequent wave caused a slight disruption to production plans. In May, however, we discovered that the second season’s filming had begun in April 2021 in London. Soon, the Internet was abuzz with photos of Kate, Anthony, and the other cast members attending the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. This isn’t the first time that this happened. We were able to see the Bridgerton cast attending a horserace just a few months before.

Bridgerton Season 2: New Star Cast Joins The Team?

Jonathan Bailey will be playing Anthony again, and Simone Ashley will be playing Kate Sharma. Nicola Coughlan and Penelope Featherington are also returning. Simone is not the only returning cast member. Charithra Chandran will portray Kate’s younger brother Edwina Sharma. Shelley Conn as Lady Mary Sharma will be their mother and Calam Lynch as Theo Sharpe.

Rupert Young will portray Jack while Rupert Evans plays Edmund in Anthony’s flashback. Rege Jean Page won’t return to Simon Bassett. We did learn that Phoebe Dynevor would return to Daphne. The second season of Daphne’s story will be focused more on her relationship with the Bridgerton family. Bridgerton Season 2: How Season 2 Will Look Like?

We are able, thanks to Julia Quinn’s second book The Viscount Who Loved Me, to dig deeper into the second series. It is about Anthony Bridgerton, the oldest Bridgerton, and his quest for love. It will also explore the aftermath of Anthony’s fiancee’s disapproval and the actions taken by his older sister. It would be much the same story as the first season. Anthony was still at the crossroads. However, he is likely to feel what it’s like to be in love when he meets Kate.

Bridgerton Season 2: When To Expect?

It’s wrong to think that the second season of filming will be completed before the end. The filming of the first season took nine-month, all this in a world that was not yet affected by the pandemic. Filming on the second season started in spring. Therefore, it is unlikely that season 2 will be aired in the fall/winter of 2021. Bridgerton Season 2 could air in mid-2022.
