Created by Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror is a British dystopian science fiction anthology television series. Charlie himself along with Annabel Jones are the showrunners of the program.
The dark sci-fi drama focuses on modern society and provides a graphic picture of the dark side of technology. The episodes make the audience question everything from their cell phones to their social media profiles.
The series offers scary tales of what the future could hold and how every game-changing innovation will be escalating delusions.
When will we get to see Season 6?
The well-crafted show has been highly praised by its fans and they are wondering when the sixth season would release.
In an interview with Radio Times, Charlie Brooker said,
“I’ve been busy, doing things. I don’t know what I can say about what I’m doing and not doing. At the moment, I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about society falling apart, so I’m not working away on one of those. I’m sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I’ve been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh.”
The world has been going through the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s uncertain if the audience would like to invest their time in a show which would give them a sneak-peak into the haunting future.
Knowing the popularity of the show, the series is most likely to return with a Season 6. But when it will happen is still not clear. As season 6 has not yet been greenlit, then we can assume the release date to be far off. If production starts sometime in 2021, then we can expect it to be released in 2022.
Who will be in the cast?
Every season features a brand-new team of the cast. There’s always a talented actor bringing out the distressing stories to life.
Some of the actors that were previously seen on Black Mirror are Jon Hamm, Hayley Atwell, Mackenzie Davis, Andrea Riseborough, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jesse Plemons, and many more. We also saw Anthony Mackie, Miley Cyrus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Andrew Scott.
We are looking forward to seeing more fine actors in the upcoming season.
