It’s been nearly two years now since “Barry,” Season 2, ended. Since “Game of Thrones” was over, fans have been anxiously anticipating the return of this HBO comedy about a professional hunk trying to overcome his violent past and make a new start as an actor.
Season 2 ended abruptly. Barry’s former murder-broker (Stephen Root), whom he now hates, showed Barry’s acting teacher, Gene Cousineau, (Henry Winkler), his body. Janice Moss was killed by Barry in Season 1 when she discovered that he was her killer. Paula Newsome (Paula Newsome) was there to witness the final moments of Season 2. Gene heard Fuches say, “Barry Berkman did it.” Season 3 will present a new and direct conflict between Gene & Barry.
Beyond that, we don’t know much about “Barry” Season 3 and when it will be available on HBO Max. It’s exciting to hear what Hader, the company has to say about the future. Here’s what we have so far.
Barry Season 3: What We Know So Far
The series was renewed shortly after its premiere in season 2.
Fans can rest assured that the film is coming soon! Season 3 filming began in early 2021. It’s been confirmed. However, it’s unclear if the crew and cast have ended the shoot.
There has probably been a lot accomplished already, given that actor Henry Winkler (who plays the role as acting coach Gene Cousineau), explained this to me.
What can we expect? The plot details are being kept secret, as well as any possible new casting information. However, the new season will likely address the cliffhanger about Gene’s revelations regarding Barry. Sally Goldberg’s (Sarah Goldberg), progression as an actor will be covered in future episodes.
The release date of the season is still to be determined, though filming has already started. However, the season could reach audiences in early 2022.
Who’s in ‘Barry’ Season 3’s cast?
All the major actors in “Barry”, can be assumed to be returning. Bill Hader plays Barry Berkman, Marine-turned–hitman-turned-aspiring actor Barry Berkman; Henry Winkler is Barry’s acting teacher Gene Cousineau; Sarah Goldberg plays Barry’s narcissistic friend, Sally Reed; Stephen Root plays Barry’s nemesis Monroe Fuches; Anthony Carrigan plays NoHo Hank the genial Chechen mobster who just wants Barry to be his best friend.
Beyond that, it’s not clear who will return to Season 3. Cristobal, a Bolivian drug kingpin (Daniel Irby), was able to survive Barry’s massacre at season 2’s end. We may get to see him again. Possibly Gene’s class members will return. This includes Kirby Howell-Baptiste (D’arcy Carden), Darrell Britt–Gibson (Daniel Irby), and Kirby Howell–Baptiste (Daniel Irby). They were also Daniel Kaluuya’s Oscar’s special guest. Or will we discover what happened with Lily (Jessie Giacomazzi), that little girl who seemed to have been possessed and possessed by a spirit of a “feral mongoose”, which defeated Barry in combat, and then disappeared into the evening in the episode “Ronny/lily”. What are we going to do?
Season 3 is yet to feature guest stars or series regulars.
