Sydney Australian women’s cricketer Sarah Elle has announced her retirement from the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) via Instagram. On her Instagram page, Sara wrote on Monday that she played her last WBBL match for the Sydney Sixers over the weekend.
The Sixers could not make it to the finals of the tournament. The final is scheduled for Wednesday. The Sixers, however, defeated table-topper Melbourne Stars by five wickets in their final match of the season.
Sarah, 36, has played in ODIs and as many T20Is for Australia. She played in six editions of the WBBL for the Sixers.
