The title of this episode immediately refers back to the 1962 iconic film. Martin Scorsese remade Cape Fear again in 1991. Jessica Lange, American Horror Story star, was the main character in the remake. While it is not known what connection the film and series have, it seems obvious that the episode title is the same as Lange’s film. Murphy may be hinting at the actress’s return.
