Khabib Nurmagomedov submits 47th clean USADA sample

UFC lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov has taken to his official Instagram account to post an update regarding his latest USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) test.

Khabib Nurmagomedov claimed that since 2015 (the year USADA testing commenced in the UFC), his dope test has been analyzed 47 times by USADA. In turn, has set the MMA community abuzz with speculation regarding Nurmagomedov’s Instagram post might be a jibe at Jon Jones.

The “EAGLE” accolades from the Octagon are certain to put him at the UFC Hall of Fame in the long run but it’s his lifestyle outside the cage that has left him a global cultural icon.

Khabib’s longtime manager and close friend Ali Abdelaziz recently tweeted that Khabib Nurmagomedov has submitted 47 samples into the USADA database with no single one even remotely being tainted.

Jon Jones’s former light heavyweight champion top the record with 62 sample submissions followed by featherweight great Jose Aldo with 60 samples submission.

Even though Jones, a fellow front-runner in the GOAT debate, was flagged for positive evaluations in the past, Khabib Nurmagomedov has remained sterile and disciplined throughout.

Perhaps the only lapses in discipline Khabib was guilty of were on both occasions when he shed weight, including once when he had been admitted in the hospital after a failed weight cut to get a Tony Ferguson struggle.

As fortune would have it, the struggle was rescheduled to be held on numerous other events, with none of these ever panning out. It possibly will remain one of the battles that the MMA community always wanted to watch, but never will. Not just a supervisor, Abdelaziz has been a longtime fan and supporter of Khabib also backing up him several times on social media platforms.

Incidentally, Khabib’s longtime teammate and training partner at AKA, former two-division winner Daniel Cormier, was given a special commendation earlier in the year for passing 50 USADA evaluations.

The “EAGLE” announced his retirement at UFC 254

Khabib Nurmagomedov defended his title for the third time in UFC 254 from Justin Gaethje, who many believed was going to be his biggest test to date. Khabib, however, completed the bout via entry in the second round.

The “Eagle” then stunned that the MMA community by announcing his retirement from MMA, stating that he had made a promise to his mom that he won’t fight again without his father being in his corner.

Khabib had lost his father and lifelong coach Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov because of COVD 19 before in the year in July .

But, UFC President Dana White is convinced that Khabib Nurmagomedov will reunite for a last fight to extend his unbeaten MMA record to 30-0.
