The American TV Series is created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble and produced by Warner Horizon Television, in association with Alloy Entertainment and A&E Studios. The first season of the thriller is based on a 2014 novel by  Caroline Kepnes  of the same name and the second season is loosely based on her 2016 novel ‘Hidden Bodies’.

The show initially premiered on Lifetime on 9th September, 2018 and then streamed on Netflix on 26th December, 2018.

You Season 2: Plot

In the first season Joe Goldberg meets an aspiring author named Beck at a book store in New York and is instantly spellbound by her. He stalks her on social media and tries to prove himself to be boyfriend material. Joe’s obsession with Beck holds no boundaries and he is ready to push all limits for what he can do for love including taking someone’s life.

Season 2 witnesses a mild twist in story. Joe moves from New York to Los Angeles to run away from his past and in order to start a new life with a new identity. Here he meets Love Quinn, a creative aspiring Chef. He initially shares a platonic relationship with her until they realise that both have dark secrets hidden from each other and continues with his old obsessive & psychotic behaviour patterns towards her. The season ends with a dicey choice whether Joe and Love wish to continue with their secret filled, dark relationship or not.

You Season 2: Plot

You has been renewed for a third season which will include 10 episodes. The makers announced the same in January, 2020 and will be officially releasing in 2021 exclusively on Netflix as a Netflix Original title.
