The OA is a mystery drama series created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, and produced by Plan B Entertainment and Anonymous Content and its 1st Season premiered on Netflix on 16th December, 2016. The American series streamed its second instalment on 22nd March, 2019 . The Show was planned by its creators to be a 5 part series. The OA has a rating of 7.8 on the IMDB’s website.
The show features Brit Marling as Prairie Johnson / the OA / Nina Azarova / “Brit” who is the protagonist and also stars Emory Cohen as Homer Roberts, Scott Wilson as Abel Johnson, Prairie’s adoptive father, Phyllis Smith as Betty “BBA” Broderick-Allen, Alice Krige as Nancy Johnson, Prairie’s adoptive mother, Patrick Gibson as Steve Winchell / “Patrick Gibson”, Brendan Meyer as Jesse Mills, Brandon Perea as Alfonso “French” Sosa, Ian Alexander as Buck/Michelle Vu and Chloe Levine as Angie.
The OA Season 3 Plot So Far
The narrates the story of a blind girl named Prairie Johnson who went missing for seven years and resurfaces all of a sudden with her eye sight back and calls herself The OA(Original Angel). OA exhibits the scars on her back and refuses to tell her parents or the FBI about her whereabouts in seven years. She asks for help to rescue other missing people from another dimension and confides into a team of five local people only.

In the second season OA is in search for her former Captor Hap and other captives held by him by travelling to another dimension ending up in San Francisco where she and her captor reach a third dimension where OA is a girl named “Brit” and Hap is her husband named “Jason Issacs”
The OA Season 3 Release Date
As mentioned earlier, the makers of the fantasy drama have planned it to be a 5 part series. In season 2, the prominent cliffhanger indicates renewal of another season for the show.
Unfortunately, on 5th August, 2019 Netflix cancelled the series after two seasons, leaving a cliffhanger ending and fans devastated. Fans of the Science- fiction mystery started a twitter campaign named #SaveTheOA and #TheOAisReal. There was a Change.org petition also by the fans to revive the show.
