Once again, Legendary has launched two episodes this week, Season 2, Episode 9, “Elektric Jungle,” and Season 2, Episode 10, “Ballroom 5000.” This week also marks the end of the second season of the ballroom series on HBO Max, so the following contains major spoilers for Legendary, Season 2, Episode 9, and Episode 10, including who the winning home is.
Season 2, Episode 9, “Elektric Jungle,” Category One
The theme for Episode 9 is a jungle, prompting the homes to come up with some crazy ideas and performances. For the all-house functionality, every house will perform among the three staples of the ballroom: spins and drops, floor operation, or hair whips. It’s on last week’s winner, Miyake-Mugler, to choose what house gets what challenge, and along with this, every home has to incorporate a weird effect of having a family member.
First up is Miyake-Mugler, who’s paying homage to Britney Spears’ VMA functionality for”I Am a Slave For You,” with Father Arturo dressing as an eccentric shrub, which limited his motions for hair whips, but the design won more judges. In general, the house wowed the judges, making them want to dance with them and earning the home a 47.
Balenciaga is up alongside an emphasis on spins and tips nonetheless, this particular part of the challenge was viewed by some as too average. They provide a good New Orleans meets the rain forest amount, but good isn’t sufficient, earning them a 45. Finally, Garçon measures onto the platform, and they’re a group of exotic birds with stunning looks, but they also score reduced using a 42.
Season 2, Episode 9, “Elektric Jungle,” Category Two
The next class sees two members from each house take the stage, with one performing to the”old way” for their very first time, while another performs to the”new way” for their very first time. For Balenciaga, it is on Kalik to tackle the old way while Honey takes on the new manner, and it is almost perfect, but Tiffany Haddish dismisses. Garçon follows up with Milan representing the old and Egypt representing the brand new, but they’re also trimmed by Megan Thee Stallion. That leaves Miyake-Mugler, and Malik, and Prince earn tens Throughout the board.
Season 2, Episode 9, “Elektric Jungle,” Category Three
The following class is about arms control — the shapes you can make with his or her arms. ChaCh Balenciaga, Father Arturo Miyake-Mugler, and Savion Garçon take to the stage, with Arturo being eliminated from the first round, also Balenciaga takes the class after ChaCha brings out a smart trick.
Season 2, Episode 9, “Elektric Jungle,” Category Four
The final category is”Shake This Sexy Duo,” with a single home member selling confidence and sex, and should they receive tens across the board, another member will perform in twerk-off for bonus points. Jupiter Balenciaga is up, but he is cut. Meanwhile, Stasha Garçon and Diego Miyake-Mugler make it so it is Tati Miyake-Mugler vs. Tonka Garçon in the twerk off, cementing Miyake-Mugler’s place in the finale.
Who Went Home In Legendary Season 2, Episode 9, “Electric Jungle?”
Together with Miyake-Mugler in the finale, it’s between Garçon and Balenciaga for the final battle, with Savion representing the former and Honey representing the latter. Though a number of the judges weren’t feeling the energy of this operation, a decision has to be made, and Balenciaga remains, sending house Garçon.
Season 2, Episode 10, “Ballroom 5000,” Category One
The finale comes with an all-house functionality that includes all five facets of vogue — catwalk, duck-walk, spins and drops, hands, and floor operation — while embodying the future of ballroom. This time, the houses will not learn their scores until the end, but for the sake of the feature, they’ll be revealed here.
Miyake-Mugler won last time, therefore they select who goes first, allowing Balenciaga to proceed before them. They lean heavily into the royal facet of the ballroom, together with Mother Shannon embodying a queen while her relatives deliver on the operation. Shannon truly steals the show, embodying confidence, esteem, and inspiration. They make a 37.
Meanwhile, Miyake-Mugler embraces the futuristic side of this category, with their production style screaming Total Recall. Like Mother Shannon, Father Arturo also shines, but instead of taking on a separate function from the other house members, Arturo dives fully into their performance. Both approaches have merits, yet it seems the judges appreciated Miyake-Mugler’s way more, as they make a 38.
Season 2, Episode 10, “Ballroom 5000,” Category Two
With such close scores, it boils to class 2, which is composed of five rounds. In every round, a part of each house will tackle one of the above elements of fashion, with the winner getting an extra five points to their house.
Up first is palms, with Kalik beating Arturo and earning five points for Balenciaga. Then it is the duck-walk around, with all Mother Shannon taking on Malik Miyake-Mugler, with the latter winning it for Mugler. Next is a catwalk, with Diego vs. Jupiter, and Diego wins it for Miyake-Mugler, earning them more points. The next to last conflict is a flooring performance between Honey Balenciaga and Prince Miyake-Mugler, together with Honey taking it. Finally, it’s the spins and dips challenge, together with Tati Miyake-Mugler beating ChaCha.
Who Won Legendary Season 2?
The classes are closed, and the homes learn their final scores. With an original score of 37 and a bonus rating of ten, Balenciaga is now at 47. However, in addition to their 38, Miyake-Mugler got 15 points in the final class, putting them at 53. For the fourth week in a row, Miyake-Mugler wins, and they take home the grand prize because of the winners of the entire season.
