Demon Slayer Season 2: Story

The Demon Slayer season 2 manga storey adapts the ‘Entertainment District arc. It takes place following gen Train. You will need to have seen the Demon Slayer movie before you start season 2, unless you do not want to be spoilt. It’s brave to tie canonical events in a movie (a rare feat in anime), but it’s important to know now, or you’ll miss a lot of the plot.

So what can we expect to see in the story? Without going into spoiler territory, the first season ended with Tanjiro Zenitsu and Inosuke being summoned for their first major assignment as members of the Demon Slayer Corps.

Demon Slayer Season 2

Rengoku is an elite Demon Slayer bladesman from the Hahira and is assigned to accompany the trio. The movie revolves around Tanjiro, his company’s efforts to eliminate the Lower One of Twelve Moons demon group led by Muzan Kibutsuji (original demon) and slayer of Tanjiro’s families.

After the dramatic events at Mugen Train and the close of Infinity Train, Tanjiro, Hahira and Demon Slayer Corps will need to deal with the effects of the movie and the appearance of dangerous new foes.

The trailer below shows the second season. It sees the group travelling to Yoshiwara, a town of bright lights, and dark desires. The group will be heading to Yoshiwara, a fertile ground for demons. With the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, also with them, Tanjiro might come into conflict or two with an Upper Moon.

Demon Slayer Season 2: Cast

According to the trailer, all the core Demon Slayer voices will be back for season 2. The English dub is still unknown.

Natsuki Hanae should be back (Tanjiro), Akari Kato (Nezuko), Hiro Schimono (Zenitsu), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka(Inosuke). Shinobi and Tengen Uzui will be among the secondary characters. Toshihiko Seki will also voice Muzan Kibutsuji, the main villain.

Where Can I Watch And Stream Demon Slayer Season 2?

Demon Slayer season 2, however, doesn’t have an official home yet in the West. The first season was available on Crunchyroll in the US and Crunchyroll in the UK.

Crunchyroll, as well as Funimation will be receiving the new episodes shortly after they are aired in Japan. Netflix may also be interested in acquiring streaming rights, which is likely to happen in 2022.
