In case you thought the toughest part of a zombie apocalypse is residing the initial wave of zombies, think again. We’ve already see the fight for survival and just how difficult it is on Z Country. Now it’s time to see how it gets harder for a single girl.
Black Summer season 2 is coming to Netflix tonight. It’s falling tonight at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT.
All eight episodes will fall simultaneously. It’s going to earn a great mid-week binge-watch.
What Is Black Summer Season 2 About?
The first season followed Jaime King’s Rose as she struggled for survival. After being separated from her daughter since her husband is infected with the zombie virus, she does everything she can to be reunited with her.
Along the way, she has to figure out that she can trust. A number of those she comes across do not possess the most naive of motives, and many others are too suspicious of people for her to trust. There’s a huge array of emotions, but in the end, she and her daughter were reunited.
Now it’s time for the next part of the journey. It’s now winter, and the zombies are just one of the issues on the upswing. A militia puts everybody’s lives in danger, especially when the group of survivors finds a home to take cover in from the snow that threatens to suspend all of them.
There are still zombies to manage. Here is the Z Country prequel after all! This is a series of survival, and it is certainly terrifying.
We also have a lot of questions in the very first season’s finale. The largest are about Spears, who managed to live but shared nothing regarding his past. Just why was he arrested before the apocalypse began and why did he choose on the alias of a soldier? Can we find out in the second season?
