An American reality television series, Waka &Tammy: What The Flocka chronicles the lives of a couple Waka Flocka Flame and Tammy Rivera. It premiered on 12th March, 2020 and airs on WE Tv.
The series focuses on the relationship between rap star Waka Flocka Flame and his wife Tammy Rivera. She is pursuing her own music career.
Release Date
The first season debuted at the time of the onset of the pandemic. It used to air on WE Tv at 10pm ET/PT &9pm CT. With a total of six episodes, each episode had a time span of 60 minutes.
The series was renewed for a second season comprising of 8 episodes on 29th September, 2020. According to Georgia film office which keeps a track on active productions in the state, the series is back in production for a second season. However, the release date has not yet been announced.
Cast
As the name of the series suggests, Waka and Tammy are the cast members. The married couple is based in Atlanta.
Juaquin James Malphurs is an American rapper. He is better known by his stage name Waka Flocka Flame. He signed up 1017 Brick Squad and Warner Bros Records in 2009. On the release of his singles ‘O Let’s Do It’, ’Hard in da Paint’, and ‘No Hands’, he became famous. His first studio album ‘Flockaveli’ was launched in 2010, followed by his second release in 2012 named ‘Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family’.
Tammy Rivera and Waka got married in May 2014. She is a singer, tv personality, fashion designer and businesswoman. The couple was previously seen on VH1’s ‘Love and Hip Hop Atlanta’ where it was disclosed that Waka had cheated on his wife. So, the couple had fair amount of troubles in their married life. The pair were seen solving their problems on WE Tv’s ‘Marriage Boot Camp’.
So, the couple presently has a stable married life and are gearing up to make their return on the second season of What the Flocka.
What to expect in the second season?
In the first season we saw the couple trying to cope up amidst the Covid-19 crisis. The couple navigates through their married life, juggles between renovating interiors of home to maintaining career, having fights on different parenting styles, managing meddling in-laws and a lot of other stuffs.
We expect to see more of such marital problems as the star duo attempt to keep their marriage strong.
