The Series will return for another season
Netflix decided to extend its passage through Virgin River and, with that, confirmed the third season of the series. The information was confirmed by the American advisory of the platform and published by TVLine.
The third season, which will premiere in 2021, will feature ten episodes again. And even if the premiere will happen only at the end of the year, at least we have good news: the series is already recording the third season. So, there are possibilities for Netflix to advance the launch.
Based on popular books by author Robyn Carr, Virgin River tells the story of Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge of This Is Us ), a nurse who leaves Los Angeles and finds a new beginning in the small town. As well as a second chance at love. All this courtesy of bartender Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson of Grey’s Anatomy ).
New characters
The third season, however, will feature new characters – in addition to the regular ones, which the public already knows.
Zibby Allen ( The Flash ) is joining the third season of Virgin River in the regular role of Jack’s sister, Brie, described as a “smart, strong and brave” lawyer who turns out to be “very funny.”
Stacey Farber ( Degrassi: The Next Generation ) will also appear in the third season as Lilly’s daughter, Tara Anderson. This, in turn, helps her mother raise Chloe while her three brothers are living away from home.
Who returns
The adaptation of the book also features Colin Lawrence (Riverdale) as Preacher, Lauren Hammersley (Orphan Black) as Charmaine, Annette O’Toole (Smallville) as Hope, Tim Matheson (Hart of Dixie) as Doc. And, also, Grayson Gurnsey (Game On) as Ricky and Sarah Dugdale (Supernatural) as Lizzie.
The second 10-episode season premiered on November 27. However, she has already left fans in awe. That’s because it ended with several twists and turns.
Within hours of making the engagement public, Doc informed Hope that he had received bad news from his doctor. Preacher’s plans to become a chef in San Francisco were hampered by the surprise return of Paige / Michelle’s son, Christopher. And Mel was shocked to find that someone shot Jack and left him to die on his bar floor.
