The second match of the 4-Test Border-Gavaskar Test Series being played between India and Australia is being played in Melbourne. On the second day of the match, India made a spectacular comeback after the embarrassing defeat of Adelaide. In the match, Bhar’s position seems to be quite strong.
The second day India started playing at 36/1, after which Shubman Gill returned to the pavilion on a personal score of 45 runs. After Gill’s dismissal, Cheteshwar Pujara also returned to the pavilion for just 17 runs, although Hanuma Vihari tried to handle the innings after that but Nathan Lyon’s spin was stuck.
Team India looked in trouble after falling 4 wickets for 116 runs, but wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant played a few quick shots as soon as he came out and put pressure on the bowlers and 29 runs off 40 balls.
The turning point of the match came when an unbeaten century partnership was formed with Ravindra Jadeja and Ajinkya Rahane. Ajinkya Rahane is unbeaten on 104 and Ravindra Jadeja on 40 runs till the end of the second day’s play, while India’s score is 277/5. Currently, Team India has taken a lead of 82 runs on the basis of first innings.
After the end of the second day’s play, Virat Kohli expressed his happiness on Team India’s performance by tweet while praising Ajinkya Rahane’s innings.

Earlier on the first day of the match, host Australia decided to bat first by winning the toss and with the help of Marnas Labushen’s 48 runs, 195 runs were scored by India, Jasprit Bumrah 4 and Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed 3 players.
