The anime story is about a woman “Violet“. She grows up to be a soldier under the protection of Major Gilbert. However, due to some unfortunate events, she loses her arms.
Later in the anime, we can get Violet to start writing, so that she can help people express their feelings. And eventually, she becomes a ghostwriter. Towards the end of season 1 of the anime, we see Irma using the lyrics composed by Violet in the opera. Sing a song and it becomes a hit. This makes Ardu believe that Violet will begin to understand what love is.
As of now, there are no official details on the plot of season 2. But we can expect the anime to pick up from where it left off in the previous season. Violet might begin to understand Major Gilbert’s last words.
Next season will be very enjoyable to witness Violet’s character development.

It is confirmed that the main cast of season 1 of the anime will also return in season 2. We will see the following in the Japanese version:

Violet Evergarden Season 2 Release Date:
The first season of the Violet Evergarden anime began premiering in 2018. This year, a movie was set to premiere in the US, but is currently delayed due to the ongoing pandemic.
As of now, there are no official release date for the next season of Violet Evergarden. But if things go well, we can expect it to be released this year.
Since the first season had 13 episodes each of 24 minutes, we can expect the second season to have at least 10 or 13 or maybe even more episodes. Like the first season, Violet Evergarden season 2 will be available on Netflix.
