Season 2 of The Witcher still does not have a release date on Netflix, but the streaming platform has shared an image of the first page of the first episode’s script on its social networks. Thus, although we will still have to wait to enjoy the new chapters and also for the launch of a first trailer, at least we have been able to learn new details of what is to come: new adventures starring Geralt de Rivia (Henry Cavill), Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and Ciri (Freya Allan). One more reason to be among the most anticipated Netflix original series.

With filming already underway and an important list of new recruits already confirmed, the truth is that we cannot complain. We know in the second installment of The Witcher it will feature, in addition to its main trio, the incorporation of new witches, among which the one who was her father figure Vesemir, played by Kim Bodnia, stands out. Likewise, we know that an important part of the action will take place in the Kaer Mohen fortress, very important in the past and Geralt’s formation and first destination after his encounter with Ciri.

According to the official synopis of the second season of The Witcher,

Above these lines you can see the first page of the script, shared by Netflix on its Twitter account. How does season 2 start? With a family of three – a merchant, his wife and his daughter – walking through the new forest through. Upon arrival in a town with the aim of finding accommodation, the family finds that the place is deserted. Suddenly, a creature emerges from the shadows and carries the man and the woman away, seemingly devouring them in the dark. Terrified, the daughter begins to run towards the mansion located on a nearby hill. It is Geralt who narrates the scene with a sinister voice but apparently unrelated to the event.

Without a doubt, the chilling first scene makes clear some intentions that the team of The Witcher had already confirmed previously: to raise a more terrifying tone in the second season.

Season 2 does not have a release date on Netflix but is scheduled to be released sometime in 2021.
