Based on the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski that had already inspired the CD Projekt Red video game saga, The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia ( Henry Cavill ), a mutant human who knows how to use magic and who wanders through a fictional world while working against monsters and terrible creatures. The series, which jumps between different timelines, also introduces us to two important characters from the novels and from Geralt’s story: the sorceress Yennefer ( Anya Chalotra ) and Ciri ( Freya Allan ), an exiled princess who will forge an unbreakable bond with the protagonist.
