The Walking Dead Season 11

A brand new set photo from The Walking Dead season 11 reveals Michael James Shaw as Mercer, sporting his comics-accurate Commonwealth military armor. According to Robert Kirkman’s graphic novel series of the same name, the show centers on a bunch of individuals in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a zombie outbreak as they struggle to survive against the titular shamblers and respective human dangers. The concluding chapter of the series, which is set to premiere in August, is set to adapt issues 175-193 of the comic books as the fundamental group arrives in the network of communities called the Commonwealth.

Around its decade-long run on the network, The Walking Dead has turned into a major hit for AMC, bringing in consistently strong ratings, two Primetime Emmy wins, and 16 nominations. The show’s victory helped spawn a roster of spin-offs such as the acclaimed Fear the Walking Dead along with the mixed-received World Beyond, in addition to an in-development series based on Norman Reedus’ Daryl and Melissa McBride’s Carol along with a trilogy of movies based on Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes set after his death. The series is also often credited with helping springboard some actors to stardom including Jon Bernthal, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Tom Payne, amongst others.

Although its quality has certainly shifted about across its ten seasons, 1 thing that has remained consistent during The Walking Dead is its faithful depictions of its characters on screen. What from outfits to hairstyles and props has often been translated appropriately into the series and has been a real treat for lovers to see. While Mercer’s red outfit may seem better suited to one of Disney+’s countless Star Wars series, it is a near-perfect recreation of his armor in the comic books, and seeing how closely his suit matches his comic book counterpart is a testament to the series’s faithfulness.

It’s pretty amazing to understand that not only includes The Walking Dead been broadcasting for the better part of a decade but is only just now coming to a close after 11 seasons. However, for all those sad it’s coming to an end, one just needs to look toward Fear since it shows to have found its footing once again and get excited about Lincoln’s spin-off film trilogy, as the first is allegedly set to begin production soon. For now, fans should look forward to seeing more teases of a thrilling final chapter as the coming of season 11 is right around the corner.
