Whether this is good news or bad for his millions of followers around the world remains to be seen, but True Blood could be the subject of its own ‘reboot’ very soon and in addition to the hand of one of the most popular television creatives of recent years. As TVLine has learned, the creator of Riverdale and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, would be responsible for the launch of a reboot of the successful series starring Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer between 2008 and 2014 that, it appears to be in its early stages of development at HBO.

Although HBO, according to the aforementioned publication, has not confirmed the news, the project has many ballots to materialize and, in fact, Aguirre-Sacasa is only one of the names that are already linked to the project. TVLine has also learned that the ‘showrunner’ will be accompanied by the creator of NOS4A2 Jami O’Brien as a screen writer and executive producer and Alan Ball himself, creator of the original series, who would also act as executive producer.

As you may remember, True Blood was based on the famous series of novels by Charlaine Harris known as the Mysteries of the Southern Vampires. Aired for seven seasons, fiction, full of vampires and other supernatural creatures, was a real bombshell on the American network for years, with the love affairs between its characters being the center of the passions of its millionaire legion of fans. In it, in addition to Paquin and Moyer, Alexander SkarsgÄrd, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Kristin Bauer van Straten, and Joe Manganiello Considered., Among many others. Little is known about Aguirre-Sacasa’s plans for the True Blood ‘reboot’, but the reactions of fans to the unforgettable series have not been long in coming.
