The crazy over trippy journey of Clancy Gilory is not over yet. Netflix is all set to renew the adult animated series The Midnight Gospel for a brand new second season very soon. The web series has been able to gather a lot of fan following after its release and has received an approval rating of 92% on the Rotten Tomatoes website and an impressive 8.3/10 rating on the IMDB’s website.

The show gained popularity due to its trippy vibes and very brightly colored animations which, well, will be enjoyed by anyone on a “high” (not recommended). The show talks a lot about spirituality, the meaning of life and some real deep stuff that might sound too inconceivable otherwise.

The Midnight Gospel Season 2 Plot

The plot follows the story of a spacecaseter (space broadcaster) named Clancy Gilory who lives on the Chromatic Ribbon and travels to different planets and dimensions using his simulator. There he interviews aliens and other extraterrestrial beings usually just before a mad psychedelic apocalypse takes place.

The conversations are based on Duncan Trussell’s real podcasts named The Duncan Trussell Family Hour and feature different guests talking about deep and meaningful conversations, usually based on spirituality and meaning of life.

In the last episode, Clancy is shot by the police and drifts into a trippy after life where he is confused whether he is alive or dead. When he asks anyone whether he dead they reply, “Just be here now”.
