In June 2020, he sent a tweet to the official Twitter account of the show, dressed in a makeshift Viking outfit and saying, “Hurry up with season 2 and send me to Valhalla!”
Gervais is well-connected with Netflix through his comedy series After Life. He can get a funny cameo in the next round of episodes.
However, After Life season three is currently filming simultaneously with The Last Kingdom series five, and travel restrictions remain tight. This may make it impossible for this cameo to happen.
