Canadian teenage mystery shows The Hardy Boys may return with a season 2 on Hulu. The show is based on a famous children’s mystery novel of the same name by Edward Stratemeyer and Nelvana and Lambur Productions are the producers of the show. The show premiered on Hulu on 4th December, 2020 with 13 episodes.
What Is The Show About?
The Hardy Boys is set in the early 1980s in Canada and it narrates the story of the Hardy family. This family includes Frank (16) and Joe(12) Hardy and their parents, Fenton and Laura Hardy. Fenton Hardy is a police detective while Laura is a homemaker.
One day an ancient radioactive Egyptian idol is stolen from a ship raid and only one young sailor named Ern survives the killing. Laura is on her way to attend Frank’s base ball game and a mysterious car follows her. Later on Joe and frank meet a cop who informs them that their mother is dead. On this note Fenton shifts the whole family to Bridgeport where their aunt Trudy and grandmother Gloria live.
Much later the show reveals that the ancient sculpture has certain magical powers which are about to go into wrong hands if all the pieces of the idol are brought together. Frank is able to derive powers from the ‘Eye’ and is able to witness the last moments of his mother. A group of evil minds named the Circle is after the ‘Eye’ and the ‘Hardy Boys’ use all their strength to stop them. Finally, Laura’s killer is brought to justice and the ‘Eye’ is buried beneath the earth. The season ends at a cliffhanger, where a group of miners finds the ‘Eye’
