The Blacklist Season 9

Who’s in the Season 9 cast?

James Spader wouldn’t exist without the Blacklist, and he’ll be back. Since the beginning, we’ve watched the cat-and-mouse games between Red Spader (Megan Boone), and Elizabeth Keen. With Boone’s departure from the popular network drama, it’s time to shake things up for Season 9. After Season 8’s finale, Liz Keen sent this Instagram message in her farewell message: “These past eight years as Liz Keen have helped to define me and the world.” Liz sought unbreakable familial bonds and met powerful forces to show the boundaries between a cruel, obnoxious world and where she began. As her story comes to an end, I am grateful, first and foremost, for my fellow cast members, past and present, for our incredible crew, which carried us every day, and for those of you that entertained us.

Diego Klattenhoff plays the FBI agent Donald Ressler. Amir Arison plays the awkward, but charismatic FBI computer whiz Aram Moltabai. Hisham Tawfiq plays Red’s right-hand man Dembe Zuma. Laura Sohn plays Alina, the most junior member of the task force. Harry Lennix is Harold Cooper. They’re all likely back and many more will be required to make extra contributions to fill the Megan Boone size hole.

The Blacklist is also home to great guest stars. These guests often play Blacklisters — the most wanted criminals Reddington has helped the FBI capture — or any other criminal associates of Reddington. You’ll see new ones all the time, and some from the past too. Season 9 will likely feature a mix of old and new guest stars.

The Blacklist Season 9 Plot

We saw a heartbreaking exit to Liz Keen (one of NBC’s main protagonists since the pilot), as she was shot at by Vandyke (one of Neville Townsend’s henchmen), in season 8. As Dembe and Reddington, who are still in shock, leave the scene the squad finds Keen bleeding in the streets. Season 9 will bring about a new turn in terms of what will happen to the working group without Liz. Megan Boone has publicly stated her departure from the series. Although we don’t yet know if Liz died, it is known that Liz is not in mortal condition. Red’s motivations will likely shift without Liz.

Red’s illness is another matter that has caused rumors about his imminent death. If the series’ ninth installment is to be it’s final, we believe this will happen. While we don’t know the future, we do know that there will be many questions regarding “What Will Be Happen”. Spader (Amir Arison), Diego Klattenhoff; Hisham Tawafiq; Harry Lennix; and Laura Sohn will all be returning for the final. You could also catch up on the previous seasons by watching ‘The Blacklist’ while you wait to see Season 9.
