Ted Lasso Season 2

Apple debuts the full trailer for Ted Lasso season two, which sees Jason Sudeikis return as the caring coach and teases a new side of the personality. Co-developed from Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly, the character originated by a series of promotions for NBC Sports’ coverage of the Premier League. The series sees Sudeikis’ titular American series football coach recruited to help a struggling English Premier League team.

First debuting last summer, Ted Lasso has been a major hit for the streaming stage, drawing strong viewership and rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and landing Sudeikis a Golden Globe win. A week after its three-episode series premiere, Apple TV+ greenlit a season 2 for the humor and their faith in the series is powerful as they have ordered a season 3 before its recurrence. After almost a year of Ted’s absence from the screen, Apple is becoming fans ready for the lovable coach’s return.

With only a month remaining before season 2 premieres, Apple has debuted the official trailer for another chapter of Ted Lasso. Besides some peek at more of this kind-hearted optimism the character is well known for the trailer offers a peek at a few of the hurdles he will have to conquer the new season. Check out the trailer below:

Previous teases for season 2 of this show have triumphed at Ted’s biggest conflict coming in the coming of Sarah Niles’ team psychologist, Sarah, however interestingly enough she’s completely absent in the latest trailer. On the contrary, it appears Ted might have to manage the ongoing struggle of turning his group around from the catastrophic loss to Manchester City at the end of season 1. But at the very least, it looks as if the assistance from his coaching staff and newly-befriended Rebecca Welton will assist him in helping drive the team to glory.

One reason Ted Lasso was shown to be such a hit amongst crowds last year was its optimistic character and nature, something many needed in a time in which these character traits were largely absent from the entire world. Although the world is coming to normal and most are getting the chance to observe each other in person again, the impending return of this bright and cheery Ted is guaranteed to send waves of joy throughout the world. With just a month left until season 2 premieres on July 23the wait is nearly over.
