Ted Lasso Season 2: Release Date And Plot
Ted Lasso season 2 is set to be released on Apple TV+ on July 23, 2021.
The story of AFC Richmond’s fall from the Premier League to the Championship is set for continuation.
The Championship’s fortunes are mixed, as shown by the trailers and teasers. Richmond suffered a series of draws in the Championship against Nottingham Forest.
The second season will have a bigger plot twist. Ted Lasso is leading his team on an FA Cup run, which appears to be culminating at Wembley against Manchester City. Manchester City was the team that delegated Richmond last season.
Season 2 Filming
Filming began on Ted Lasso season 2, in January 2021. It continued for six months, until June 4th.
Many filming locations from season 1 are returning to their original location, including Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park which doubles as Richmond’s Dog Track Stadium.
SkyEx Community Stadium is featured, which is home to Hayes & Yeading United. This stadium also appears as Richmond’s training facility.
Much of the interior shooting was done at West London Film Studios, Hayes, Greater London.
Richmond’s cup run includes the venerable Wembley Stadium.
