Succession Season 3

Succession season three will once again be helmed by Peep Show’s Jesse Armstrong.

The series, which can be either a dark play or a black satire depending upon your perspective, follows the misadventures of the Roy family.

They’re a dysfunctional crowd who spend their days stabbing each other at the trunk in a bid to become the head of their family’s international media empire when patriarch Logan Roy eventually steps down or dies at his workplace.

It appears to be based upon the Murdoch family — Armstrong previously wrote an unmade film screenplay regarding the Murdochs. However, he is not always keen on this comparison.

It’s not bullshit to state it truly isn’t that the Murdochs. “It could be a parochial opinion that because it is a media family, it has to be the Murdochs.”

And anybody who does not wish to get sued by a few of the planet’s strongest men would probably concur.

But whoever it is based on, it’s coming back for a third season, commissioned a mere two episodes to the airing of the next series.

“We cannot wait to find out how the complex personalities which Jesse Armstrong has made continue to browse this captivating, real-world world of the uber-rich,” said executive vice president of HBO play programming Francesca Orsi.

“In the world today in which the intersection of media and politics is increasingly prevalent, Succession presents an especially piercing look behind the curtain of this elite, influential, and cutthroat community”

But how will the Roys wreak havoc in the next season? Here’s what you need to know.
