HBO Max has renewed celebrity cooking show Selena + Chef for a second season. Season 1 aired on 13th August, 2020 and after the show’s renewal on 28th August 2020, the first episode of season 2 aired on 19th November, 2020 as a thanksgiving special. More episodes of season 2 are yet to be aired.

Aaron Saidman has developed the show for HBO and Selena Gomez along with Leah Hariton and Melissa Stokes are the executive producers of the show. Selena also hosts the show.

Selena + Chef has won the heart of the audience as it features everyone’s favourite singer, songwriter and actress Selena Gomez who is now trying her hands-on cooking in her kitchen with the help of world-class chefs. The show became a binge watch for many especially during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Plot

The cooking show is unscripted and features Selena Gomez trying her hands-on cooking during the Corona Virus quarantine with the help of celebrity chefs. She gets to learn new cuisines and techniques of food preparation. Also, the show talks about the first time cooks as the whole quarantine period had many people cook on their own and tackling kitchen disasters. The chefs teach Selena their speciality recipes which belong to the region from where they hail.

Selena tried her hands-on French chef Ludo Lefebvre’s French Omelette and Cheese Soufflé, Chef Roy Choi’s Korean BBQ Short Rib Breakfast Tacos and Chef Daniel Holzman’s Chicken Meatballs and Gnocchi. Overall it is a fun show to be watched with the whole family.

Release Date

Season 2 of the show was released on 19th November, 2020 for thanks giving. All we know that more episodes of season 2 are yet to come this year. HBO Max is yet to announce more episodes for this season.
