PM Narendra Modi responded to each wish that he received from our women sport’s stars of India on Raksha Bandhan. PV Sindhu and Anju Bobby George wished our PM with a video tweet.
Pride of our country, women sports players tweeted on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan wishing our prime minister a happy festival of brother and sister.
Women Sports Players on Raksha Bandhan :
Sorts player including PV Sindhu an Ace player of Badminton, Boxing star Mary Kom and sprinter Dutee Chand were those who shared their sweet messages and greetings to our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Some of them uploaded a short video message on their tweet to wish him.
In accordance with all the players, PM Modi replied to each one of their tweets, thanking them for their warm wishes.
PM Modi lastly added that “For him, the biggest victory is representing the nation with their efforts and determination. Each sportsperson does that, which is why he’s so proud of sports player who represents our country India”.
PV Sindhu:
PV Sindhu tweeted- “Happy Raksha Bandhan @PMOIndia sir”. In her video tweet, she wished him and said that because of this COVID-19 pandemic she and other sports player could not win the medals for India at the Olympics this year, she added that she hopes to do so next year as a gift to him and the country. PM Modi thanked her and reply: “You have given so many gifts to the country and I have no doubt that you will continue to excel in upcoming times. Every Indian is proud of you”.
Anju Bobby George:
Anju Bobby George another women sports player who tweeted a video message greeting PM Modi and Kiren Rijiju (Sports Minister). On which PM replied, “Gratitude for the greetings on Raksha Bandhan, our country is proud of your achievements and your contribution to sports”.
Mary Kom:
Mary Kom tweeted: “This festival is when we celebrate an unconditional bond between a brother and sister, Today I wish you a very happy Raksha Bandhan and I will pray for your long life”. She thanks him for all the support to the girl child and youth athletes. Replying to Mary Kom, PM Modi said he considers it an honor to get the opportunity to work for empowering Nari Shakti.
Saina Nehwal:
On this occasion Saina Nehwal tweeted: “I pray for your happiness, long life and prosperity, Sending lots of love and warm wishes, Happy Raksha Bandhan @narendramodi sir”. In a reply to Saina, PM Modi said he is humbled by her wish and generations are getting inspired by your hard work and success.
Dutee Chand:
Dutee Chand also wished our prime minister with a tweet in which she said, “Wishing our honorable PM a happy Raksha Bandhan. You are truly a warrior for the nation, and we trust your leadership to sail us through these challenging times”. PM Modi replied to her by greeting her for the wishes and Good luck for her efforts to excel in sports.
