While it’s not new that Outlander seasons have a long time between them, that has been the case with Outlander season 6. The new season is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2022, hopefully in the first few months.
This isn’t the first time Outlander fans have had to wait for their new season for some time. Between Season 4 and Season 5, there was a two-year gap, so with everything that happened in the last year, it’s no wonder the new season is taking so long. Regardless, we won’t be adding Outlander to the fall 2021 television schedule, but we can at least wait for next year.
After season 6, Outlander isn’t going anywhere, because a season 7 has already been ordered. Starz president and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch told Deadline that they hope to continue the Outlander story for as long as possible.
