Leo Ruff defended his North American title in a Triple Threat match against Johnny Gargano and Damian Priest in the NXT Takeover WarGames. It was a great match and at the end of the match, Johnny Gargano became the NXT North American champion for the third time in his career, pinning Leo Ruff.
Gargano has achieved everything in NXT so Leo Ruff needed more wins from him in the match and it will be interesting to see which one of Ruff and Priest is going to continue their feud with superstar Johnny Gargano.

All the superstars involved in this match were getting great action and no superstar was ready to give up in this match. Finally, Kyle O’Riley of The Undiscussed Era gave his team the victory, pinning NXT tag team champions Oni Lorcan.

NXT Takeover was under pressure to give a good show on WarGames after a great episode of AEW Dynamite last week. Although some minor surprises were seen during NXT Takeover WarGames, these surprises were nothing in front of the surprise seen at AEW last week. Let us tell you, AEW gave a big surprise to the fans by making a sting debut during last week’s show.
5- Good / Bad: Match cards of NXT Takeover WarGames

All the matches in the NXT Takeover WarGames were quite spectacular and the PPV cards featured tremendous action during all the matches. Apart from the two Wargames matches included in this PPV, the rest of the match was well-liked by the audience, however, the match card of this PPV could be made even better.
Not defending the NXT Championship and the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT’s biggest show of the year was quite strange and the company must have defended both of these championships in this PPV.
