The Witcher Season 2 Release Date On Netflix
The Witcher season 2 will be available on December 17, 2021. This was revealed at the WitcherCon Livestream on July 9.
Netflix renewed Netflix’s series for a second season in November 2019, well before the debut of the first season. For a scheduled debut in 2021, eight episodes of the eight-episode second season were produced in London in early 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic ruined all of this.
The Witcher Season 2 was also put on hold along with all TV and film productions. filming resumed in August as per safety and health protocols.
The Witcher Season 2 Teaser Trailer Revealed
WitcherCon’s July 9th event featured the release of the Witcher 2 teaser video. The two-minute video opens with Ciri asking Geralt, “I’m Your Destiny?” It shows them arriving at Kaer Morhen to begin training the princess. The danger is right at their heels and Geralt must do everything possible to protect her, while she discovers who she is and what her purpose is.
If you focus on the trailer for 33 seconds, you will notice the four new Witchers: Coen (Yasen tour), Eskel(Basil Eidenbenz), Lambert (“Paul Bullion”), Vesemir [Kim Bodnia”).
Netflix’s Geeked Week had previously shown us a short teaser trailer of The Witcher season 2.
This footage shows Ciri, who is seen slowing down and riding a horse while training in the woods. Also, Elder Speech notations, a knife, a bloody carcass, as well a garment with a lion design, are included.
Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, showrunner for The Witcher season 2, shared a behind-the-scenes video. She spoke out about how big season 2 was, which will feature 1,200 people and 89 cast members who worked 158 days to make it happen.
Hissrich also disclosed that season 2 adapts Blood of Elves. Blood of Elves tells the story of Geralt’s training with Ciri at Kaer Morhen.
