Season 4 of Money Heist, Netflix’s high-stakes bank-robbing thriller series, leaves the story on a tense cliffhanger – so here is what we know up to now about Money Heist season 5. Created by Álex Pina, Money Heist surfaced on Spanish network TV Before Making its way to Netflix in late 2017. Observing the achievement of the first two parts of the story, Netflix renewed Money Heist for Part 3 and Part 4 in April 2018.
Money Heist concentrates on a gang of bold robbers, headed by a heist mastermind known as the Professor (Álvaro Morte), who take on large targets in search of large prizes. Money Heist’s initial two parts saw the gang lead an assault on the Royal Mint of Spain, and the next two parts reunited the lands for a robbery of the Bank of Spain. The group comprises narrator Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó), young hacker Rio (Miguel Herrán), also specialist forger Nairobi (Alba Flores).
From the end of Money Heist season 4, the assault on the Bank of Spain is still not yet full, with all the Professor focusing his attention on a daring rescue of Lisbon (Itziar Ituño) from police clutches. The final cliffhanger is overt set-up for Money Heist season 5 – but does that happen, and when can we expect to see it? Here is what we know so far.
Renewal Status
Though Money Heist has not been renewed for season 5 (which, depending on the present structure, would include Part 5 and Part 6 being declared collectively ), a renewal seems very likely. Season 4 was rated highly in Netflix’s US Top 10 most-watched names in the wake of its release, which is particularly notable for a Spanish-language series. The streaming service has lots of international series in its library, but few have divided to US audiences in precisely the same way that Money Heist has. Expect a renewal statement by the end of May 2020.
Release Date
When lovers can expect Money Heist season 5 to discharge is not quite as certain because of its chances of renewal. The movie and TV production industry has been placed on lockdown around the world on account of the coronavirus pandemic, and Spain has been hit especially hard by the virus, with more than 15,000 deaths at the time of writing. Money Heist Part 5 and Part 6 could be filmed back to back, like in previous seasons. In the case of Part 3 and Part 4, the first set of episodes were released nine months after filming started, therefore a similar program would likely apply to Money Heist season 5. If the coronavirus lockdowns are raised by autumn 2020, expect more episodes of Money Heist in overdue 2021.
Story Details
At the season finale of Money Heist season 4, the Professor chose an outside team to pull off a”David Copperfield” trick with Lisbon as she’s ready for transport to prison. Employing looped security footage, along with a bad unfortunate kidnapped body twice, Lisbon is busted free and taken by helicopter to the roof of the Bank of Spain, where the remainder of the staff are waiting for her. The police know too late that the helicopter coming at the lender is not theirs, and Lisbon joyfully reunites with the others. They declare that their war is not over and they’ll complete it” to get Nairobi,” who had been murdered by the lender’s chief of security, Gandía (José Manuel Poga).
Meanwhile, just as the Professor is celebrating his success using Lisbon’s breakout, someone unexpected arrives in his hideout: Inspector Alice Sierra (Najwa Nimri), who was fired after her unlawful actions were subjected. Sierra is now on her vendetta from the Professor, and there are no telling how far she’ll go now that she has been unleashed from her past job. Money Heist Season 5 will conclude the Bank of Spain heist with the group’s escape – although it may come at the price of more lives. Held at gunpoint from Sierra, it will take all the Professor’s creativity to escape his current position, and in the meantime, his crew could be left to invent their exit strategy.
