Plot
The Punisher narrates the story of Frank Castle who is a former Armed forces Agent turned vigilante. Frank has taken up the task to extract revenge from people who brutally murdered his family. His ungovernable urge to avenge his family makes him take the law in his hands that help him reveal a dark and unforeseeable motive behind his family’s death.
In the second season, Frank Castle decides to embrace his identity as a “punisher” and resume the role of an illegal vigilante to help unveil the cruelty of certain institutions.
Release Date
As the sources suggest, there is going to be no new season of The Punisher on Netflix and this is due to two fold reasons.
One of them is that Marvel Studios has decided to pack up its television production as there is a considerable downfall in the viewership.
Secondly, ratings of The Punisher were not sufficient enough to produce a season 3. Also, the audience did not show much of an interest in the show.
Moreover, the fans of the show wanted to explore this total vigilante side of the frank castle who will “punish” the wrongdoers irrespective of personal motive and his style.
There are also speculations that Season 3 might release on a different streaming platform, however, this has not been officially confirmed yet.
