Last month, Triple H held a conference press for international media where he said “the best female performers in the world are in WWE and if they are not, they want to be.” This caused rejection in several women from other companies such as Deonna Purrazzo and Thunder Rosa
Liam Alexander-Stewart, ROH fighter Maria Kanellis shared her thoughts on Triple H’s comments. Here are the most prominent statements:
“I think Triple H said those things because it is the place where he works but if he was honest with himself, he would realize that they are no longer the only place to work and for many people, they are not even the place where they want to be. I have listened to many women tell me that they are working in Ring of Honor and WWE made offers that they rejected. Women in the industry have communications between us about how things are going, how much they pay us, and how well they treat us, that’s why we are one as a community very close”.
“I think the best fighter in the world could be anywhere. It doesn’t matter if it’s Ring of Honor, AEW, Impact, WWE, in Japan, China, the UK, or anywhere in Europe. It’s just a question of who is that. person, not what company do you work for. And I hope that over the next few months we can see a couple of those women at ROH but if not, it’s something I’ll work for. ”
“I mean, I would love to have Thunder Rosa in our tournament or LuFisto, bring in some girls from Japan and great fighters from all over the world. I can assure you that not everyone wants to work in WWE and after being there twice I have to say that some of my most memorable moments in wrestling were outside of WWE and it had a lot to do with the people I was working with and the way I felt doing it. “
