The first five episodes of Lupin arrived on Netflix on Jan. 8, 2021, and fans are already eager to see Lupin part 2! The action-comedy series revolves around a professional thief with a vendetta.
While Netflix has not disclosed any viewing totals for the series, it’s reported to have been viewed by an impressive 70 million households and quickly emerged as one of Netflix’s buzziest French originals.
If you’re seeking information regarding the next installment of Lupin, then you’ve come to the right place. Without further ado, here is what we know up to now about part 2 of the favorite show including its release date, synopsis, cast and more!
Release Date
You will find five episodes in part one of the Lupin and there will be five in the second. Netflix originally announced part 2 will be released in the summer time of 2021 and it appears we have an official release date.
When dropping the second trailer for the upcoming batch of episodes, Netflix affirmed Lupin part 2 would be coming on Friday, June 11! That places a part 2’s release almost six months by the date which Lupin part 1 came in January 2021 and is a much more manageable wait than we anticipated – which is always a nice surprise!
Cast
The show stars Omar Sy as Assane Diop. Additionally, it includes Vincent Londez, Antoine Gouy, Soufiane Guerrab, Clotilde Hesme, Hervé Pierre, Shirine Boutella, Ludivine Sagnier, Etan Simon, Johann Dionnet, Vincent Garanger, Nicole Garcia, Mamadou Haidara, and Adama Niane. There hasn’t been any news about major casting changes, therefore I think that it’s safe to presume that the major cast would be reprising their roles in two.
Synopsis
The newest Netflix series is loosely based on a character named Arsène Lupin, a suave thief made by Maurice Leblanc. Drawing inspiration with that personality, Lupin celebrities Omar Sy as Assane Diop, a skilled pickpocket. As a young guy, Diop was orphaned after his dad was styled from the wealthy Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre) for a crime he didn’t commit. More than two years later, Diop vows to use his abilities to seek revenge on Pellegrini for inducing his father’s death.
Part one concluded with Raoul (Etan Simon) being kidnapped, so fans can expect to see that storyline continue.
Trailer
Using a June 11 release date set, the first trailer for Lupin part 2 has came and wastes no time in jumping back into the action! Picking up where part 1 ended, the action-packed first consider the upcoming episodes where Omar Sy’s personality Assane has now become”the most wanted man in France.”
