Lucas Olaza, has not traveled to Seville this Wednesday with his teammates and the rest of the Celta expedition. The left-back has had to stay in Vigo due, according to the club itself, to health reasons. He is isolated, after having had contact with a person who tested positive for Covid19.

It is a notable setback for Coudet, since Lucas Olaza, has played 17 of the 18 league games this season, he is one of the indisputable starters of the Vigo team. It is not, however, the first time that Covid19 truncates Celta’s plans. In recent months up to four players have been absent after testing positive for virus control PCRs although the club never officially confirmed the cases.

Curiously, Lucas Olaza’s position is the only one that Celta has strengthened in the current winter market. He did it with Aaron Martin, who arrived in Vigo on January 1 on loan, from Mainz 05 -Celta keeps a purchase option on his rights after this season-. Since then he has not yet made his debut in the league competition.

He did have minutes in the last Cup match played by Celta, a match to forget in which the Vigo team was eliminated from the competition after conceding a win from Ibiza. At Benito VillamarĂn and with the absence of Lucas Olaza, he will debut with Celta in the League.
