British spy drama Killing Eve has made headlines after the release of its season 3 in April and has received great ratings from the critics as well as the audience.
The series has a number of awards and accolades under its belt including the Golden Globe for Sandra Oh (who plays Eve), an Emmy for Jodie Comer (Villanelle) and Baftas for Fiona Shaw (Carolyn), as well as for best drama series.
Will There Be A Fourth Season?
Broadcasting network BBC America had announced a renewal for Killing Eve for a fourth season before the release of the third season in April 2020.
Recently, actor Fiona Shaw announced on AP Entertainment’s official Twitter handle that filming will not commence until 2021, June due to the Corona Virus pandemic. Sources have also revealed that the filming of the show takes place in multiple locations, therefore, the shooting schedule has been disrupted due to the global pandemic crisis.
Killing Eve Season 4 Cast
As of now Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri and Jodie Comer as Oksana Astankova / Villanelle will be reprising their respective roles in season 4. Other main characters include:

- Kim Bodnia as Konstantin Vasiliev
- Owen McDonnell as Niko Polastri
- Darren Boyd as Frank Haleton,
- Raj Bajaj as Mo Jafari
New cast members for season 4 have not been announced yet.
Killing Eve Plot So Far…
Totally disinterested with her job, Eve Polastri works with the British intelligence agencies . Eve is eventually fired from MI5 for her abrupt behaviour with witnesses. But soon she is recruited by secrete services of MI6 for going after a female Russian assassin named Villanelle. As Eve explores Villanelle, she becomes more and more obsessed with her sabotaging her personal and professional life. Things take a different turn when Villanelle reciprocates feelings for Eve and gets obsessed with her as well.
Season 3 finale explores more on the relationship shared by Eve and Villanelle as they express their feelings to one another and run towards each other at the London Bridge. Their union turns out to be self-destructive for one another.
Killing Eve Season 4: Release Date
As the filming of the show has started pretty late, the release of season 4 seems pretty dicey any time soon. But speculations are that the new season might premiere by late 2021.
