During the Friday Night SmackDown broadcasts via FOX, it has been confirmed that superstar Roman Reigns will face Kevin Owens in a Last Man Standing for the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2021 WWE’s next pay-per-view.

Originally, Adam Pearce was confirmed as the next opponent for The Tribal Chief after winning a Gauntlet Match for a shot at the Universal title. After signing the contract in the last minutes of the blue show, the general manager declared that he was not in the medical conditions required to compete in the event. Leveraging his authority at the company, Adam confirmed Kevin Owens as his replacement for pay-per-view.

Kevin Owens will face Roman Reigns for the title after falling multiple times to various extreme stipulations. The Big Dog was victorious in a TLC Match held at Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2020. The following week, Reigns again successfully defended the Universal Championship in a Steel Cage Match that opened the special Christmas episode of SmackDown. Due to the stipulations of Roman in this week’s broadcasts. The two superstars will face off in a Last Man Standing Match. Remember that this fight can only be won by the fighter who manages to put his opponent down for a count of ten.
