The third season demonstrates that the key adolescent characters fight against Scorpius rex, a hybrid dinosaur-like nothing they’ve ever dealt with earlier.
They successfully defeat the dinosaur while simultaneously interrupting the attempts by Dr. Henry Wu to retrieve his study on the hybrids and dealing with the psychological effect of leaving their newfound family.
The next season has a lot of references to the Jurassic Park franchise and also in the last episode, the next season teases the chance of a fourth season too. Here are a few of the references:
The Helicopter – The story of season 3 overlaps with the beginning of Fallen Kingdom. We find out from the pilot of one of those helicopters that arrive near the end of the season which they aren’t there to rescue the teens, rather, they are there to find the remains of the Indominus rex and extract DNA.
Scorpius rex -Just like in Jurassic Park the dinosaurs can change their sex, Scorpius rex has developed the ability to produce her own offspring.
Blue -Blue, the sole member of this Velociraptor package to endure the World episode, crosses paths with all the teens a few times.
The Kitchen When the Scorpius girls follow the kids to the visitor center’s kitchen, one is reminded of Tim and Lex (Joseph Mazzello and Ariana Richards) hiding from the raptors at the first Jurassic Park movie.
