- Jeff Jarrett will have a very important role in the NXT India project
According to a Sportskeeda report, WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett would have a huge role in the NXT India project.
Jarrett is very knowledgeable about the US market, as, in 2012 and 2013, he spearheaded a TNA Wrestling spin-off called ‘Ring Ka King’ which garnered large audience numbers. WWE had asked Jeff to find a new Indian native Superstar to train.
Last month it was announced that WWE had intentions to film a new television show in India starting in January 2021, featuring an eight-game elimination tournament dubbed NXT India. The show would feature appearances by Jinder Mahal, Indus Sher, The Singh Brothers, Jeet Rama, and a handful of recent recruits from Indian PC.
So far the program is scheduled to start on January 26, but this has not been confirmed. Also, when WWE can travel to India, the plan is to install a full Performance Center similar to the one in Orlando.
