Jackass is in action once again. The group of crazy, reckless, and foolish – to define them in some way – has come together again to make one more film and it seems that the years do not pass in vain. During the filming of Jackass 4, Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O have been injured. And that they only take two days of recording.
According to a video posted on Bam Margera HQ, Knoxville and Steve-O were jumping on a treadmill at full speed while using “band equipment” – that is, tubas – when the accident occurred. Bam Margera has been in charge of communicating it in a video where he shows that he also has some war wounds.
Fortunately, they are both fine and it has not been a serious event, but something tells us that it will be something common in the shoot. After all, all members are past 40 years old, some approaching their fifties. While we cannot say that they are old, of course, they are no longer the twenty-somethings who could endure all kinds of tasks.
It’s been almost 10 years since the team’s last adventure if you don’t consider Knoxville’s Bad Grandpa. While it may seem crazy to face the beatings and physical trials once again, there is a compelling reason for their return: the death of Ryan Dunn. Dunn passed away on June 20, 2011, in a car accident, an event that drastically affected Bam Margera and has led him to fight his addiction to drugs and alcohol ever since. Jackass 4 has been a way of keeping Margera clean and sober. This will be the first time we see the Jackass reunited without Dunn on board.
If all goes according to plan, Jackass 4 will be released in the United States on March 5, 2021.
