“Since he does not have the pace, you are feeling sometimes why you state playing for India, I am not saying that he needs to play India but I’m simply asking if he gets the amount of credit he deserves.”

IPL (2020): Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has opined that Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) swing bowler Sandeep Sharma has not been given sufficient credit for the performances he’s dished out at the IPL through recent years.

Aakash Chopra started by picking Sandeep Sharma as the game-changer in yesterday’s experience against the Mumbai Indians.

“I am going with Sandeep Sharma. He took three wickets. He dismissed Rohit Sharma, he has got Rohit Sharma out four occasions in the IPL and double this year as well, once caught behind and then captured at mid-off.”

“That’s the kind of performances he’s been giving. He has been taking wickets left, right, and center. In the powerplay overs, just Bumrah is nearby him in terms of the number of wickets.”

While admitting that Sandeep Sharma may not be an India prospect at this point, Aakash Chopra questioned if he’s gotten due credit.

Aakash Chopra signed by emphasizing the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling attack has taken the most wickets in IPL 2020, together with Sandeep Sharma leading the pace department in Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s absence.

“SRH is the group that has taken the most wicket within this IPL and that is without Bhuvi. Sandeep Sharma now holds the record for the most wickets in the powerplay in the background of this IPL, together with 53 wickets to his name. The 27-year-old has picked up 13 wickets in IPL 2020 so far at a nice market rate of 7.34.
