There is some amazing news for Indiana Jones fans coming up. The Action-adventure is all set to start production for its fifth installment after twelve years. The unforeseeable delay was due to developmental hell and China emerged the Wuhan-virus crisis. The new installment will not be directed by Jaws director Steven Spielberg like all the other franchises but will be a director by Logan director James Mangold and produced by Lucasfilm’s. The franchise was created by George Lucas was released in 1982, starring Harrison Ford as the titular character and since its release has received worldwide acclaim and Ford become the indistinguishable face of Indiana Jones.

According to sources, not much has been disclosed yet about the cast of the upcoming adventure flick but it is official that Harrison Ford will definitely reprise his titular character Indiana Jones.
As per Ford, he is the ultimate Indiana Jones and no-one else can play it apart from him “When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy. Get it in [your head].”
As for other cast members, rumour has it that John Rhys-Davies has also discussed his desire to reprise his role as Sallah in the coming installment and Shia LaBeouf may or may not reprise his role as Mutt Williams.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was the last movie in the adventure franchise which was released in 2008. This movie was set during the period of the cold war where renowned archeologist and explorer Indiana Jones along with his young companion Mutt take up an adventure to find a legendary Crystal Skull of Akator, however they face hindrance from the Soviets led by Irina who are searching for the Skull as well to full fil their evil agenda.
The title and plot for the new ‘Indy ’Jones movie has not been decided as of yet by the makers.
When asked but the plot of the fifth installment, Harrison Ford was of the opinion that, “We’re not going to make another Indiana Jones unless we are in a position to kill it. We want it to be the best”
The Release Date Of Indiana Jones 5
The original release was going to be in July 2019 then shifted to July 2020.
But now production will start in August. 2021 and a release has been scheduled for July 29, 2022.
We end with a good news that this film is not the conclusion of the whole franchise and Disney has confirmed it.
