Team India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will not be able to play in the entire Test series against England (IND vs ENG Test Series) due to a thumb injury. The all-rounder, who was injured on the tour of Australia, was in excellent form. It was expected that this star player would be fit by the third and fourth Test against England. But now it has become clear that he will not be fully fit during this test series and will have to go for rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

Jadeja (Ravindra Jadeja Injury Update) made his mark in Melbourne and Sydney before he was injured in the Sydney Test. During the batting in Sydney, a ball of Mitchell Starc was hit on the thumb of his left hand. Due to this, his thumb fractured and landed from his place. The Indian selectors had just announced the team for the first two Tests, in which this injured player had not already got a place.

According to a report by the Indian Express, a source associated with the BCCI has informed that at the moment it is clear that Jadeja will not be available for the Test series against England. Apart from this, he will be able to fit perfectly until the limited-overs series (T20i and ODI). A decision on this will be taken later.

This source said, ‘He is out of the Test series and it will take more than 6 weeks to get fully fit. The selectors will decide later on whether they should be selected for the shorter format series or not. India and England teams will start the 4-Test series from February 5 in Chennai. After this, both teams will play 5 T20i and 3 ODI series here. The first two matches of the Test series will be played in Chennai, while the last 2 matches will be held in Ahmedabad.
