During the first ODI cricket match between India and Australia on Friday, two protesters broke into the security cordon and entered the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), who were later taken out.

The protesters carried placards in hand, condemning India’s Adani group’s coal project in Australia. Both were kicked out by security personnel.

Amidst the corona virus epidemic, this series marked the return of viewers to the cricket ground for the first time. Cricket Australia has allowed 50 per cent spectators to enter the stadiums.

The next ODI of the series is also to be played in the SCG and during this time 50 percent viewers can come to the field. The third ODI will be played in Canberra and 65 percent of the spectators can come to watch the match there.
